Body sensations, internet searches, bank transactions, work documents, conversations, morality, relationships
सिमेट्री, ordering और ‘just right’ अनुभव
कुछ लोग सोचते हैं कि गलत order से बुरा परिणाम होगा; दूसरों में मुख्य अनुभव incompleteness, sensory discomfort या “not just right” feeling होता है।
NICE recommendations specifically कहती हैं कि overt compulsions के बिना obsessive thoughts वाले adults में CBT with exposure के साथ mental rituals और neutralising strategies की response prevention पर विचार किया जाना चाहिए।
2025 की 5-year prospective study में 107 treatment-seeking adults को follow किया गया।
OCD theme
Indian Psychiatric Society की updated guideline SSRIs और CBT को first-line options बताती है, जबकि NICE CBT including ERP को functional impairment और preference के अनुसार recommend करती है।
Contamination/cleaning, checking, aggressive/taboo thoughts और symmetry/order सभी well-described presentations हैं।
Religious और moral obsessions OCD के recognized themes हैं, और “scrupulosity” इनके लिए widely used descriptive term है।
दोनों overlap कर सकते हैं, लेकिन symmetry-related OCD में arranging, repeating या counting anxiety, feared consequence या “not just right” feeling को कम करने के लिए compulsive हो सकता है।
Theme पहचानना useful हो सकता है, पर diagnosis के लिए symptoms की persistence, distress, time, impairment, insight, compulsions, comorbidities और differential diagnoses का assessment जरूरी है।
